ROBERT SMITH WASHINGTON: A federal gram methods employed by Dominican, jury which has been in secret session here for weeks has pro- duced the first concrete result" of the furor caused by the disap pearance of Gerald L. Murphy, the Eugene flier who got into trouble with the Trujillo dictator ship' ofd the Dominican Republic. On orders of the grand jury, an alleged Trujillo agent 'operat- ing in. this country has been ar- rested for failing to register with the Justice Department, as the law requires of all foreign agents. The grand jury's investigation is continuing, which indicates that more evidence is being lpresented which may result in action against the Trujillo regime. REVOCATIONS EXPECTED The arrested. man is a 42-year7. old former FBI agent,- John J. Frank, w o also served with the Central n ltg c Agency, ' Apericas ~ ~= }elwide agents, and especially how Frank allegedly operated with young Murphy in the sensational _, jd- napin of Jesus de Galindezliq Columbia University Iecturer who was writing a book documenting, the crimes of the Trujillo'regime. Two counts of the four. count indictment against Frank chargq that he collected information for and, "solicited and accepted" compensation from the, Trujillc government without registering as an.agent. The other two counts say he did the same with the dictator personally. The indictment also charged, that Frank "dispensed and dis- bursed". money for Trujillo and the Dominican government in Washington;, D.C., and elsewhere; in thq United States. Frank allegedly was also known as "John Iaiie:". It was been re- ported that a man named. "Kane helped Murphy lease and pay for A private aircraft from a firm near ' New York. The plane was later flown by Murphy to thg network for gathering information about foreign governments..
