India theater, met at the May- flower Hotel yesterday to hear two old comrades in arms. They were former Assistant Secretary of State for Fark Eastern Affairs Roger Hils-' man 'and Rep. Clark Mac- Gregor (R-Mir n.), both vet Brans of sabotage and intelli-i gence operations against the Japanese. Detachment 101, the grand-1 daddy of the Defense Depart-t ment's current Special Forces E guerrilla teams operating inl the'jungles of South Viet-Nam and elsewhere in Southeast Asia, held its biennial national convention in Washington Fri- day and yesterday. Its membership roster in- cludes some of the Nation's key intelligence and military figures presently active in directing training and oper- ations of Special Forces and intelligence groups. Brig. Gen. William R. Peers, a former commander of the O.S.S. Rangers in the CBI Theater, is chairman of the hoard of the 101 Association. He now is on orders to the Pentagon, where he will be Special Assistant for Special Warfare Activity. Air Force Col. Julian Niemczyk is presi- dent.
