Received on August 13, the August issue of AIR FORCE, "the Magazine of
American Air Power, published by the Air Force Association; three hundred
odd pages of which are taken up with a history of the Air Force. Preceding
this however, there are several incidental items including, "What is New With
Red Air Power", page 214. This article purports to be a summary of recent

available information on Soviet inte,U. gene. Because of the nature of this
material we are not able to disclose our sources nor to document the informa-
tion beyond the fact that the sources are trustworthy."
Also in a department of the magazine called "Jet Blasts" (evidently an
opportunity for members to air their complaints), there is a letter sig&d by

cusses the probability that a ss ans are anead o us developing trans-
lating machines and that they can get enough information from our scientific
journals on research and development to save them billions of dollars. In
case Mr. Dulles ever gets interested again in the matter of telling too much
to the Russians, it occurs to me that magazines of this type might come under
the category of those that tell too much.
