S. national security affairs, 140 senior military officers and civilian government executives graduated recently (June 5th) from the National War College here. The 105 military and 35 civilian students received their diplomas from the Honorable Gerald R. Ford, Republican leader of the U. S. House,of Representatives, during an outdoor ceremony at Fort Lesley J. McNair. Representative Ford in his commencement address called attention to the significance of the event by noting that 47 military graduates from the College's 23 previous classes have attained four- star rank and that 75 civilian graduates subsequently became ambassadors. He called this fact a testimonial to both the individual students and the College. - MORE -
