Francis Gary Powers, for-
mer U-2 pilot shot down over
the Soviet Union, has been
employed as a U-2 test pilot
by the Lockheed Aircraft,
Corp. since his resignation
from the CIA, a Lockheed
spokesman disclosed yester-
day.
Powers resigned from the'
CIA Oct. 6, and subsequently
disappeared from the Wash
ington area. The Lockheed
spokesman said Powers is
working at the company's fa-,
cilities in Burbank, Calif.
Powers previously had
worked for Lockheed as a test
pilot.
