Gary, Power, the former U-2
pilot, was ;granted a divorce
today from :e;';wfe he charged
was a ",habitual drunk." A had.

Powers, 33,; was ordered to
make a $5,000 cash settlement
with his svifg, Barbara, and
pay her attorney fees of $500.
No provision was made for ali-
mony.
Mrs. Powers was, not in the
courtroom. when". 'Pe verdict`

stepped out for lunch.

the trial that while he was in
a Soviet prison his wife neg-

Mrs. Powers 'countered that
imprisonment had left Pow-
ers a changed man, "void of
all feeling" except 'bitterness
toward her. "All he wants is
his money," she sobbed.

countersuit charging that Pow-
ers had failed to treat her like
