Police last night continued to investigate a fiery four-car, crash in Oxon Hill, Md., in whjh a Southeast Washington couple was killed and four other persons were injured. The dead were identified as William L. Smith, 26, and his wife, Thelma, 27, of `4$01 First street S.E. Mr. !Smith was a civilian employe at the Navy Propellant Plant, Indian Head, Md. His wife worked for the Central Intelligence Agency. Both Mr. and Mrs. Smith were graduate of Gwynn Park. High School. They were mar- red last` May 17 in St. Thomas More Church, 4255 Fourth street S.E. They are survived by his par- ents. Mr, and Mrs. James C. Smith of Piscataway, Md., +nd her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Norman F. Winters of Acco- keek, Md. A mass for the couple will be offered at 10 a.m. Tuesday. at St. Thomas More Church.' Burial will be in Ailirigton Cemetery. Prince Georges County police said four other persons were, sent to hospitals after the 12:45 a.m. accident on Indian Head highway at Oxon Hill road. .,y The victims' car burst into flames after it was struck in ,he rear by another vehicle, police said.
