One of Menoyo's aides, 11am6n,
Quesada Somez, said he hadl
been trained by the U.S. Cen-
tral Intelligence Agency.
. Guticrrez Menoyo and three
companions were captured in
eastern Cuba late last month.
He said they entered the coun?
try Dec. 8.
The broadcast, monitored in
Miami, lasted less than half an
hour. Mcnoyo expressed no
contrition for is anti-Castro,
activities. He commented, how-
,ever, "I have been thinking
more about things and what I
.have heard is very different
from reality."
Menoyo admitted most de..
tails previously claimed by the
Cuban government. He said he
and his followers infiltrated
Cuba from a base in the Do.
minican Republic. Dominican"
authorities have denied that
any such base exists. "I worked
for a while with the CIA," said
Somez. "They taught me to
use a gun and how to use
maps."

of Menoyo, who was a major

the exiles, and the others.

said a pro-Castro spy network
linking Miami, Santo Domingo
