HAVANA, Cuba (AP)-The government of Fidel Castro
displayed captured guerrilla leader Eloy Gutierrez Menoyo
and three of his companions on nationwide television Tuesday
night.
Menoyo claimed he used Puerto Rico as a way station en route,
to Cuba and was aided by Puerto Rico's former governor Luis[
Munoz Marin.

espionage periodically reported

Cuban exile newsman Luis'
Manuel Martinez said he re-
ceived through Mexico. i
Raul Castro, Cuban armed;
forces minister, said earlier this
week that Menoyo and his three
aides were sighted 12 hours;
after they landed: and were
captured several days later. He
said thousands of militiamen
had. been mobilized to stop him.
"They taught me to use a gun
was right or wrong, Menoyo
,said, "If the people are against

He said he had expected to be
welcomed by the peasants but
received a hostile reception. He
'added that peasants gave him
food but also reported his
presence to the army.
Menoyo admitted - all the
details previously claimed by
the Cuban government. He said
he and his followers Infiltrated
Cuba from a base in the Dom-
inican Republic. Dominican
authorities have denied that any
such base exists.

CIA,", said one of Menoyo's
aides, Ramon Quesada Soma.
