Approved For Rel attAf6&2gD RDP7J M. 58,91 S. 96,65 Front Edit I Other Page Pape Page O CT 19 1964 Date: Dear Editor: ; In England we had the 'Pro- fumo Case" now in the United States we have the "Jenkins Case." The only difference, in Eng- land we had a top Defense Min- ister who was involved, where- as in the United States we have the top man in the government, the President of the United. States. There is no difference be- tween the two cases as far as security is concerned, they are both detrimental to the coun- try which they represent, but from the moral angle, the Pro fumo Case more or less con- cerned the adult man and wom- en, individuals with intelligence .`who were motivated by money, power and espionage, whereas the Jenkins Case concerns the perverted adult and innocent_ child and is motivated by a self- ish desire of immoral practices. This is using a very polite ? word which should actually be spelled out so the parents of these innocent children can be warned of the dangers that are lurking in and around play- grounds, zoos, vacant buildings, schools and. neighborhoods which can cause their children irrepa- arable harm by these perverts snd homosexuals. My object in writing this ar- ticle is to cite the lack and?,in- consistency in our security up whereby the President of the United States can place in a very important position a, man of questionable character without conducting a personal security questionaire on the sub- ject involved. What authority does the Presi- dent have in hiring and firing; personnel in higher official ca pacity, regardless of who they may be, without security investi- gations and clearances? It is about time for the Cen tral JW,P]ligt'uce Agency, "'t'h"e". Justice Department and the Federal Bureau of Invesl.iga-:' tion to do a little more investi- gating in Washington instead of concentrating all' of thr?ir man-, power in the southern states. R.
