"Chips Are Down"
I In discussing the "Science
of Spying," Marcia Garfinkel's
letter of May 19 questioned
. whether victory would be
! worth it if it had to be won
at the price of, I suppose,
"immoral tactics."
No price is too great to pay
for freedom. The chips are
down, we may even now be in
the jungle. We have no option
but to fight by the rules of the
jungle, or surrender meekly.
The only "rules" are those that
lead to victory, preferably at
no loss of American lives.
