NO. 27 ! i l e orandum &Ob v e. d "C DP75 00149R000100500011-7 25X1A ..:.rec or, DCS DATE: 17 May 1967 25114: Exec Officer Peter R. Brooke 25X1A 1. In furtherance of his desire to help the Agency in whatever ~.r.y E:, can, Subject proposed on 12 May 1967 to suggest to the Armed ?~,rce radio Services Los Angeles director, for whom he continues to 'o sc:. work, the production of a series on U.S. intelligence. Al- .:'.oug the series, as contemplated, would ostensibly be meant for ~:_nsur:ption by the Armed Forces, they might still find their way, as u_.:.ny hers already have, into the public notice. The series would begin with story treatment of Army, Navy, Air Force, etc., intelligence, bject's real objective being the treatment of CIA. For the military, he purpose would be an information series to acquaint the informed ,:~:n on the ground, afloat and in the air with the activities of his run and the associated intelligence services prior to his own partici- pation. 2. Brooke feels that AFRS will be very interested in a series of this type, particularly since other series, but none on this subject, have been produced in the past. He was advised, however, that we had no way of knowing what the Agency's reaction might be, but that we would pass his idea on for information. Source: Peter R. Brooke Clover Enterprises 315 S.
