confidential information to CIA director John McCone the
other' day, so he sealed it in an envelope printed.with his
personal Senate frank. and sent it -over by special Serrate
messenger. The measeagnr fell into the hands of the security
boys at CIA headquarters, who grilled him at length about
what he was up to, then finally let: him go --- but wouldn't
accept the letter. And all the time we, in our simple way,
had thought those guards at the CIA were meant to keep
secrets from getting out.
