Student Pickets Protest
Hall for two hours this morning, 10 a.m. to noon,
protesting the use of University facilities by the
Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) for recruitment
of students.
Rory Ellinger, a University- graduate student
(not pictured), said that in past actions the CIA
had been "un-American" and that the Students for CPYRGHT.
Democratic Society were opposed to co-operation
given the CIA by the University, and Dean of Stu- . ,l
dents Jack Matthews in providing the mechanism
About '12 pickets marched in front of Read '
Michael Lattman, chairman` of the SDS, spon
sors of the picketing said that many members had
signed up for interviews with the CIA tomorrow
to indicate to the interviewer the SDS attitude.
