I., to 15 years in prison on a charge f espionage. The sentence was the sev- erest ever given'a United States itizen by an East German ourt. In a report on . the trial, .D.N., the East German press ervice, said Mr. Feinauer, 27- ears-old, had been found guilty f committing espionage and Cher crimes against East Ger- any as an agent of the United tates Central Intelligence gency. According to A.D.N., Mr Feinauer was recruited by the C.I.A. in West Berlin in 1961, two years after he had firs come to live in the city. Mr. Feinauer was alleged t have sought to establish espi onage contacts with Govern ment and social agencies ?an organizations.. He was als charged with having helped East Germans flee' to Wes ocations" and East German order fortifications for .I.A., for West German in- titutions and for the National roadcasting Company. It could not be immediately earned when and where Mr. einauer was arrested. Another merican, Roland Wiedenhoeft, university teacher, was ar- ested in East Berlin ear,ier his month.
