The Birmingham lawmaker is a member of the House Armed; Services Committee and its sub-1 committee which chocks on they Central Intelligence Agency. { Meanwhile,'two"Gadsden at torneys jumped into the race for the post held by U.S. Rep. Al bert Rains. They are StiXd-Sefl George C. Hawkins and State Rep. Gary Burns. Both are. ,Gadsden attorneys. Hawkins said in his announce= ment: "Independence has been my byword for the past decade' and a half as both a member, of the state House and Senate., I have always followed the state administrative program when-~ ever their political course' seemed right to me.
