Joyce and his wife, an American citizen of Turkish birth, recently went on home leave to the United States. The American Embassy here declined comment. The government communique did not specify when the inci- dent'occurred but it was under- stood that Joyce visited Gov- ernment Minister Andrea Pap- andreou's office more than a month ago in connection with Greece's curtailment of Voice of America hroadca"sts during a time of high Greek ?Turkish tension over Cyprus.
