Crusade for Freedom
The Crusade for Freedom
announced yesterday the elec-
tion of W. :B,-Murphy, presi-
dent of the Cam bell Soup
Company, as b9acd chairman.
Mr. Murphy succeeds Gwilym
A. Price, botfrd" airman of
the Westinghotl;" Electric
Corporation.
A graduate of the University
of Wisconsin, Mr. Murphy
served on the War Production
Board in World War II. He
returned to Campbell's in
1945 and four years later
was named executive vice
president. He has been presi-
dent since 1953.
As board chairman of the
Crusade for Freedom, Mr.
Murphy will direct the or-
ganization's national cam-
I paign for funds for Radio
Free Europe.,;
