The international battle of the. spy books continues to
rage.
With the Penkovsky Papers-allegedl exposing Soviet
worldwide intelligence activities-currently being published
in the West t"1i el Castro's Cuban government has just
brought out a? Sp
edition of the book that started it all,
"The Invigiibfe government," by Washington newsmen
David Wise'and Thomas Ross.
The Wise-Ross bodk, which describes activities of the
Central Intelligence Agricy, has had wide international
circulation and Is regularly quoted by Afro-Asian. leaders
when they want to putfa~ward an anti-American position.
