Communist agents in the Unit
fed States could conceal them
selves within any part of so
ciety, according to Sen. Milton
R. . Young, 'R-N.D.
Young; in a newsletter fro
Washington, said the Federal
Bureau of investigation has
caught most red spies. But he
added:
"Undoubtedly some are still
Loperating, and at very high le-
vels."
Young, member of a special
Senate committee which works
with the highly secret Central.,
IntelligenccAgency said dom-
munist agents ' c o u l d "quite
effectively, hide ' away in almost
any strata of our society-in
!eluding far-right groups."
Said the Senator:
r "Many, of our most valuable
CIA operatives in various coun-
tries .throughout the world are
factually high 'ranking Commu-.
njst Party officials."
He identified the two toughest
types of agents to detect as
. members of the Russian KGB,
said Young. But he warned.
"One of the worst' mistakes
that can be made is to accuse
someone of being a communist,
when he may ' be entirely inno-
cent."
The senator advised that'any'
suspected communist be report- i
ed to the FBI ? and 'let them f
handle it from} there on.
