Amory: In connection with a study presently under way, the WSEG requires basic material and manpower inputs for certain items of Soviet military equipment and supply. It is understood from 25X1A9a conversations with that data appropriate to WSEG requirements in this regard are available to the Central Intelligence Agency and this is to request that such data be furnished the WSEG on the items listed in the enclosure. All inputs should be indicated as basic material and manpower require- ments per unit military item. The Weapons Systems Evaluation Group is particularly interested in the metals and chemicals inputs. The VSEG would appreciate receiving an estimate of the date by which this information can be furnished.
