A copy of the attached memorandum written by_ was circulated. 3. It was agreed that: 25X1A9a 25X1A9a a) The Munitions Board Petroleum Committee (MBPO) should be persuaded, if possible, in connection with the NIS program 1 To request OCD aid in exploiting all Washington sources of information. 2 To request 00 through OCD to obtain any additional information required from non-governmental sources (principally oil companies)o b) OCD would write a letter to MBPO requesting a meeting at which MBPC would be told about OIL services and, if possible, Nsold$ on a) above. to be a member of the OIL group meeting with MBPC. 4. If MBPC agreed in principle to 3. a) above: a) OOD would obtain MBPCfs outline for the NIS petroleum supplement, and with it as a guide begin to canvas Washington sources so as to ascertain what was available, whereo b) 00 would next obtain specific requirements for each NIS area some time before MBPC started production, so as to supply MBPC with all desired information from whatever source* to assure whatever information was needed within ample time. 5.
