SUBJECT: Meeting with Norman Goodman, Clerk of
New York County
1. On 11 May 1973 I met with Norman Goodman to discuss
the possibility of having the name of a CIA covert employee
erased from th
e jury rolls of New York County. The employee--
-had been summoned to commence jury duty on
2. I advised Mr. Goodman that was a CIA
employee engaged in a sensitive operation which needed full
protection and that jury duty by this employee could jeopardize
the operation. Mr. Goodman was very understanding and
cooperative and assured me that the employee's name would be
erased from the jury rolls. He also assured me that our con-
versation would be held in confidence.
