1. Attached for coordination are the sections of the draft PFIAB
report that relate to DD/S&T programs. The following sections are
included:
Collection of Intelligence
X1
Imagery
Production of Intelligence
Science and Technology
Information Processing and Exploitation
Introduction & ADP Services
Research, Development, and Engineering
In addition, I have included the table of contents for the complete report.
2. You will recall that in some instances special papers were pre-
pared for the report in the Directorate. In other cases, I drew on
information already available in O/PPB (mainly the program submissions)
to produce this first draft.

3. I would appreciate your comments /suggestions on the presentation
of all the material, in particular: Are the programs presented the way
you would like? Have the important points been made? Are the best
examples used? Do the sections say too much?- -- Too little?
4. I will need your comments by c.o.b. 25 August in order to send
the draft to Colonel White by the first of September. I will be in touch
with you if further work on the draft is required as a result of Colonel
. White's review.
