MEMORANDUM FOR
SUBJECT Rough-Water Testing of Two Full-Pressure
Flying Suits
1. Request use of your personnel and boat for testing
of above suits as outlined in your Memorandum of
5 February 1971.
2. The suits have previously been tested for flota-
tion in water with no problem encountered. As indiCoa.ted
in your Memorandum, one suit has inbuilt flotation in
addition to its own floating capability by virtue of being
a closed suit. A helmet is worn which has a rubber face
plate. This completely seals off the anterior portion of
the helmet, making the suit a closed system providing all
other orifices are properly closed. Both suits have
inbuilt thermal garments and have been tested in 350
water.
