MEMORANDUM FOR: Deputy for Operations
SUBJECT: Operational Postures For
REFERENCE: Memorandum for BFD/OSA, subject: same,
dated 7 November, OSA-3425-68.
1. Cost estimates for the various postures discussed
in Attachment 1 are not now ava n Headquarters.
The postures are being referred th~for an evaluation 25X1A
of present and/or planned capab support activities
as indicated. It is not known, for instance, what prime
equipment for the various machine shops is presently there
or if any will be retained. Status of the power generating
facilities*is also unknown. Without concrete knowledge of
these and other similar critical factors, it is impossible
to come up with realistic cost data.
2. As you know, a survey team will bel in the 25X1A
near future studying the feasibility of relocation o he
IDEALIST Detachment. Answers to the above questions and others
will be obtained at this time, after which realistic cost
data will be submitted for consideration.
