T: Briefing to the House of Representatives
Science and Astronautics Committee
i. On this date Messrs. Robert Anderson, ' illiam
Fulkerson and (Legislative Counsel) went
to tiie Rayburn Building to brief Representative Teague
and selected members of the Science and Astronautics
Comiliittee Staff. jack Swigert and Jim Wilson (staff
men ers) were present. Representative Teague was not.
2. The purpose of the meeting was a briefing on
the recent Salyut failure but the discussion also
covered the entire Salyut program as well as the TT-O5
program.
3. During the discussion the subject of US/Soviet
cooperation, Apollo-Soyuz Test program, came up. I
was asked by Mr. Swigert wi at the US had to gain "techno-
logically" frog; this program. It was made very clear
that this question is of great concern to Congressman
league in his role as Chairman of this Committee. I
replied that I thought that little or nothing could be
gained.
