I I Called Jack Ticer, Senate Armed Services Committee staff, and explained ur procedures for disposing of Air America. 5, I I Called Frank Slatinshek, Chief Counsel, House Armed Services Committee, and told him of our plans for Air America. He said he would like a fact sheet he could show to Chairman Nedzi, Intelligence Subcommittee, and Representative Bray. I also explained to Slatinshek that we had gotten White House permission to show the NSCIDs to our Subcommittee Chairmen and Mr. Colby would be glad to come over and show them to Representatives Hebert and Nedzi at their convenience. Slatinshek said he thought Nedzi would like very much to see them and he would let us know. He said if we didn't hear from him he would like to be reminded next week. 6.1 Called Guy McConnell, Clerk, Senate Appropriations Committee, to say that Mr. Colby would be glad to bring over the NSCIDs for Chairman McClellan and Senator Young at their convenience. McConnell will let me know. I told McConnell of our plans for disposal of Air America. 7, Called Ed Braswell, Chief Counsel, Senate Armed Services Committee, to let him know Mr. Colby was getting in touch with Senator Symington to arrange to show him the NSCIDs. 8.1 Talked to Representative Peter Frelinghuysen with whom I had arranged a meeting with living in this 25X1 C country, I told Frelinghuysen that I didn't want to get the Agency involved in lobbying, but could say that he had always been a good friend of our embassy Frelinghuysen said 25X1 C he had found his meeting with well worthwhile.
