Guy McConnell, Senate Appropriations
Committee staff, called and said the Chairman would like to have General
Walters appear before the Intelligence Operations Subcommittee at 10 a. m.
on Wednesday, 23 May. He added that the Chairman also planned to invite
Ehrlichman, Haldeman, Dean, Young, and Pat Gray to appear at a later
date. After checking with General Walters, I advised McConnell that he
would be available for the Wednesday hearing.
