Approved For Release 2004/03/11 : CIA-RDP75B00380R000100070012-5 JOURNAL OFFICE OF LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL Thursday - 28 June 1973 25X1 1, Delivered to Bernice Kalinowski, House Armed 25X1A Services Committee staff, copies of the chart which was not included in the material furnished Frank Slatinshek, Chief Counsel of the Committee, on Tuesday evening concerning the Director's briefing of Senate Armed Services Committee yesterday. 25X1 25X1 2. In response to the request of Chairman Lee Hamilton, Near East and South Asia Subcommittee, House Foreign Affairs Committee, I confirmed the change in briefing date from 11 July to 10 July in room H-227 in the Capitol. See Journal of 25 July 1973. Bruce Clarke, D/OSR, has been advised. 3. Met with Herb Roback, Staff Director, Legislation and Military Operations Subcommittee, House Government Operations Committee, and discussed with him in general terms the status of the various Watergate hearings insofar as Agency participation in the hearings is involved. Roback was quite complimentary of the reports he has heard of Chairman Nedzi's, Intelligence Subcommittee, House Armed Services Committee, conduct of the Subcommittee hearings. He told me that the McCloskey resolution, concerning investigation of CIA involvement in political affairs of foreign governments, has been withdrawn from the Government Operations Committee consideration. Chairman Holified, of the full Committee on Government Operations, responded to Representative Koch's (D. , N.Y. ) request for investigation of CIA involvement in Watergate by letter indicating that this was a matter within the jurisdiction of the House Armed Services Committee. Nothing further has been heard from Koch on the matter.
