2. Met with Frank Slatinshek, Chief
Counsel, House Armed Services Committee, who gave me a letter to the
Director from Chairman Lucien Nedzi, Intelligence Subcommittee,
enclosing a letter to Chairman Hebert, House Armed Services Committee,
from Representative Robert L. Leggett (D. , Calif.) relating to the sale
of Southern Air Transport. Lawrence Houston, OGC, and I
DD/Sec, have been advised.
25X1 3? Met with William Ashworth, Arms Control,
International Law and Organization Subcommittee staff, Senate Foreign
Relations Committee, who asked if I would clarify for him the designations
of the new ICBMs covered in the briefing by Carl Duckett, DDS&T. He also
gave me a copy of a statement by Senator Fulbright, Chairman of the full
Committee, entitled "SALT One Year Later" which will be given on the

4. Received a call from Garner J. Cline,
Counsel, u committee No. 1, House Judiciary Committee, who asked if
we would provide a biographic sketch on who emigrated
from Poland to Italy in 1968. Cline is particularly interested in whether any
sponsorship was provided.
