Talked to Frank Slatinshek, Chief Counsel, House Armed Services Committee, and alerted him to matter reported in the Sunday New York Times. Slatins e c is basically relaxed about this case. Angus Thuerrner, Assistant to the Director, has been advised. 8. Picked up for NARCOG a transcript of the testimony on 4 April 1973 by the Attorney General, Office of Manage- ment and Budget, and Commissioner of Customs before the Subcommittee on Legislative and Military Operations of the House Committee on Govern- ment Operations. The hearing concerned the President's reorganization plan number 2 of 1973 to consolidate drug law enforcement activities. 9? Left for Miles Costick, staff assistant to Representative Ben Blackburn (R., Ga.), an unclassified bibliography of articles on Soviet export pricing practices, prepared by I OER. The list was prepared as the result of a call Costick made to 0 on 29 March. Blackburn has not yet called me in response to the call that I placed to him on 29 March 1973. Costick had called me on 28 March in behalf of Blackburn requesting all classified Agency publications on Soviet-U.S. trade.
