He had on his desk a copy of the remarks of Representative Edward I. Koch (D. , N. Y.) on the floor of the light of what has happened in the instant, case. When the matter has been reviewed and our proposals as to future actions in this area have been formulated, he would then like to discuss the matter further with us. I left with Nedzi copies of the various fact sheets that we have developed, the correspondence with Koch, and several of the noteworthy press items. I also reviewed with Nedzi the Agency correspondence with Repre- sentative Michael Harrington (D. , Mass.) concerning Agency budget for public relations activities. Nedzi gave his wholehearted approval of the response forwarded to Harrington. mat we 'axe the matter under a visemen and review suc programs in the 6.1 Met with Frank Slatinshek, Chief Counsel, House Armed Services Committee, and briefed him on today's meetings with Chairman Chet Holifield, House Government Operations Committee, and Chairman Nedzi, Intelligence Subcommittee. I told him I passed copies of the Harrington correspondence to Chairman Nedzi as he had requested earlier. Slatinshek thanked me for keeping him up-to-date. 7. I I Received a call from Douglas Dahlip., Counsel, Subcommittee on Legislation and Military Operations, House Government Operations Committee, who told me that as a followup to this morning's meeting, he would have a draft letter available to be picked up for our review some time tomorrow morning.
