Called Jack Ticer, Senate Armed Services Committee staff, and advised him that our check with DOD indicates that they are carrying Chuck McFadden, of the Committee staff, on an active Top Secret clearance. I told Ticer we are now processing special clearances for McFadden and will be in touch with McFadden after the first of the year to arrange Agency organization and other background briefings for him. Ticer said DOD has advised them Frank Sullivan's, of the Committee staff, Top Secret clearance has been approved. I told Ticer I would talk further with Ed Braswell, Chief Counsel, about the Soviet weapons system briefings he had requested for Sullivan. 3. Called Chairman Nedzi, .House Armed Services Committee Intelligence Subcommittee, and brought him up-to-date mmowe on the in ormation developed by the IG Staff on the material which the DO Division picked up from Senator Goldwater's office in 1964 and passed to the White House. Called Hilda Schreiber, OMB, concerning the status of S. 2714 (CIA Retirement Act Cost of Living Amendment) and she said that she had handled the enrolled bill and that it was routine and recommended for signature by the President- status and let us know.
