(Unclassified - JGO) Met with Marge Swanson, in the office ofSTATOTHR Representative Clarence E. Miller (R. , Ohio), and discussed with her the constituent correspondence received from of Nelsonville, Ohio. Miss Swanson said that the correspondence had been forwarded on the assumption that we had had prior correspondence with She has already made a second request of NASA for material for and will close out the correspondence with the material forthcoming from NASA. No further Agency action is required. STATOTHR 5. (Confidential - JGO) Met with Representative William Bray (R. , Ind.) who told me that he had discussed the subject of the Committee report on CIA involvement in Watergate with Chairman Hebert, House Armed Services Committee. The Chairman assured him that Representative Nedzi, Chairman of the Intelligence Subcommittee, would be reviewing, or at least will discuss the report with us before any final action is taken by the Committee. I thanked Bray for his assistance. 6. (Confidential - JGO) Met briefly with Mike Finley, Inter-American Affairs Subcommittee staff, House Foreign Affairs Committee, who told me that 10:00 a. m. Thursday, 11 October, will in all probability be the scheduled date for DCI briefing of the Fascell Subcommittee. I thanked Finley for the information and told him we would have to await word back from Chairman Morgan, of the full Committee, and Marian Czarnecki, Chief of Staff, before we could finalize scheduling of the briefing. 7. (Confidential - JGO) Met briefly with Marian Czarnecki, Chief of Staff, House Foreign Affairs Committee, who told me that Chairman Morgan would be returning at about noon time and that he hoped to finalize with the Chairman the Committee desires and scheduling for briefing of the Inter-.American Affairs Subcommittee. Czarnecki will call me. 8. (Confidential - JGO) Had lunch with Frank Slatinshek, Chief Counsel, -Iouse Armed Services Committee, who told me that the Committee schedule is such for the next 10 days or so that he frankly has no idea when the Chairman will be requesting CIA briefings. I told Slatinshek of the arrangements for briefing House Foreign Affairs Committee and that Major General Daniel Graham has been appointed Deputy to the DCI for the Intelligence Community.
