7. (Confidential - GLC) Called Pat Holt, Senate Foreign Relations
Committee staff, and took him to task on their failure to excise a question
oenate Z>ubcommittee on Multinational Corporations. (Holt had agreed
yesterday that this item would be deleted.) Holt checked his master copy
and said the question by Percy and the subsequent one by Senator Church
should be excluded from the transcript as it was relayed and he attributed
the error to Ward & Paul Reporting Firm. He said he would call Ward & Paul
today about it and suggested that I do the same. I told.him we preferred to
deal with him in the matter since we had no direct relationship with Ward &
Paul with regard to the deletions. Hold said he would see to it, however,
that this item is deleted from the transcript as it is printed in its final form.
