Talked to Ed Braswell, Chief Counsel, Senate Armed Services Committee, and Guy McConnell, Senate Appropriations Committee staff, about the possibility of a very highly regarded Agency employee who may be interested in a position on the Hill. 25X125X1A 4. After talking with Messrs. SB 25X1 A Division, and CI Staff, I contacted Richard Perle, Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations staff, and advised him of our 25X1A interest in a I See Memorandum for the Record. I told Perle I would be in touch with him in the next day or two about his interest in acquiring further information on the international grain 25X1A situation. I also told him that I had made arrangements for him to be briefed on the use of forces labor in the Soviet Union and would await a call from him on this. OSD review(s) completed.
