Approved For Release 2003/09/30 : CIA-RDP75B00380R000200050128-8 SECRET Journal - Office of Legislative Counsel Page 2 Thursday - 22 March 1973 4. Met with Mike Finley, Inter-American Affairs Subcommittee staff, House Foreign Affairs Committee, and gave him a blind memo for Chairman Fascell regarding information on the Bahamian Secession Movement. It is anticipated that Finley will return the memo for our files after he meets with Chairman Fascell. There are no other followups from the briefing of 14 March 1973. 5. In response to a request from C/WH, I talked to Art Kuhl, Chief Clerk, Senate Foreign Relations Committee, who told me that there are no copies of the transcripts of the open hearings on the ITT question that can be provided for our use. The copies received are not sufficient for present Committee use. It has been necessary to refuse loan of the transcript to members. 6. ) In the absence of Dr. John Brady, House Foreign Affairs Committee staff, met with Robert Boyer and John Su1livan,of the Committee staff, who gave me copies of the Committee report The World Narcotics Problem: The Latin American Perspective. " 7.. Received a call from Peter Abbruzzese, Administrative Assistant to Representative Wayne Hays (D. , Ohio), concerning a personnel case of an individual who is a grade 13 with 19 years of service. Abbruzzese noted "that it was difficult to believe that an Agency would be terminating an individual who had less than a year to go before retirement eligibility without serious consideration of utilizing his skills in some other position.." I told Abbruzzese that from the information available to me, no final determinations have been made in such cases. He asked if I would check the case and keep him advised as to its status.
