_Committee staff. and made final arrangements for the Director's briefing of
the Western Hemisphere Affairs Subcommittee in room S. 116 of the Capitol
on Monday, 26 November.
5. (Confidential - JGO) Talked to General Ray Furlong, Deputy
Assistant Secretary of Defense for Legislative Affairs, as a followup to his
call of Wednesday evening concerning the briefings by William Clements, DOD,
and Mr. Colby of House Armed Services Committee on the Middle East crisis.
General Furlong will see that we get copies of each of the DOD inserts for
the transcript and followup papers requested by the Committee. 25X1A

IC Staff, I advised that copies of the appropriations bill will not be available
until Monday when the Committee hopes to take the bill to the floor.
