congressional hearings on the Watergate /Ell sberg matter, and the Director's
notice to employees.
Appropriations Committee staff; and Helen Boyle, Personal Secretary to
Chairman Mahon; and made an appointment for Tuesday, 29 May, 11:30 a. m. ,
for a courtesy call by Mr. Colby.
Assistant to Representative Hebert (D. , La. ), Chairman, House Armed
Services Committee, and made an appointment for 10:30 a. m. Wednesday,
30 May 1973, for a courtesy call by Mr. Colby. Miss Swann confirmed the
appointment with Chairman Hebert while we were on the phone.

ONE, to a briefing of John Ritch and Seth Tillman, Senate Foreign Relations
Committee staff, on the political and economic situation in the Middle East
as it relates to sources and supplies of oil. Both Tillman and Ritch were very
receptive and restricted their questioning generally to the matters presented
