I I Talked to Mike Van Dusen, Near East Subcommittee staff, House Foreign Affairs Committee, who told me that even though the Subcommittee will not be officially organized until the full Committee meeting of 20 February, Chairman Hamilton, of the Subcommittee, would like to schedule an Agency briefing for Friday morning, 23 February 1973, and suggested that he would be pleased if the Subcommittee could come informally to Headquarters for an off-the- record briefing. He commented previous briefings provided the Subcommittee by Jack Maury and George Allen, OSR, last year and Maury and I 25X1A OCI, the year before. I thanked Van Dusen and told him I would be back in touch with him. 4, I I Talked to Margaret Brown, Senate Foreign ReiaCia scommittee stall, concerning the Committee's request for correction of the transcript of Richard Helms' confirmation hearing.
