1. I - GLC) Ted Shackley called to alert us to the fact
that Ambassador Godley has requested Shackley's assistance in providing
some backup material for Godley to give to the douse Government Operations
Committee, Subcommittee on Foreign Operations and Government Information
in response to a request which Representative Bella Abzug made to State
Department witnesses in a Subcommittee hearing. The material in question
has to do with some fuel manipulation and a field cover arrangement. Shackley
merely wanted to alert us to this and to be sure that we contacted him if we
got a direct request from State's L&L people on the same subject. Shackley
will run the material by us when it is pulled together.

Quality. It developed from my talk with nd a subsequent conversation
