1. FMC) Received a call from Dan
Brumbaugh, in the office of Representative John B. A
25X1 (R., Ill. ), who requested an employment interview for

advised r. Brumbaugh that an appointment had been scheduled
for Tuesday, 25 September at 10 o'clock.
2. I I GLC) In response to a request conveyed by
Dorothy Fos is, ermanent Subcommittee on Investigations, Mr.
Duckett, DDS&T, met with Senators Jackson and Stennis on Saturday
afternoon and then with Senator Jackson again on Sunday. We agreed
to provide a briefing documentation prepared in coordination with the
Pentagon on the status of the Soviet ICBM program and oversized charts
which could be used in a presentation by Senator Jackson before the
full Senate in a secret session on Tuesday. Representatives of the
Department of Defense and Senator Jackson's staff were also present
at these meetings.
3. GO) Received a call from Mike Finley,
Inter-American Affa'ir.,q Subcommittee staff, House Foreign Affairs
Committee, who told me that announcement would probably be made
during the day tomorrow by Chairman Fascell that the Foreign Affairs
Committee will be going into extensive hearings on Chile. He is
exploring informally whether testimony might be received from the
Agency on operations in Chile before final approval for hearings is
requested from Chairman Morgan, of the full Committee. I told Finley
I would relay his request but that I was certain that the Agency 'would
not be available to give testimony to the full Committee on Agency
operations in Chile.
