Central Intelligence Agency by the Interagency Advisory

As I mentioned to Mr. Rosen earlier on the 26th of

section 654 of Title. 5, and the provisions of any other law
which require the publication or disclosure of the organiza-
tion, functions, names, official titles, salaries, or numbers
of personnel employed by the Agency." In consonance with
that statute, we are unable to furnish the requested infor-
mation.
As mentioned to you in our telephone conversation of
2.6 July, the Agency has promulgated strict controls on the
annud t I would be hap to dis-
a__u~e t~ if you should soy desir,e.

Senator Mike Mansfield, Majority Leader of the Senate, and Representative
Thaddeus J. Dulski, Chairman of the House Committee on Post Office and
Civil Service, have both expressed concern about the reemployment by the
Government of employees retired under the Civil Service Retirement System,
and have asked the Commission for certain information.
In response to these requests, the Commission is undertaking a study.
The information for this study is needed promptly and is available only
through the cooperation of all Federal agencies. I am, therefore, asking
all agencies to report to the Commission by August 15, 1973, the informa-
tion called for in the attached list.
Sincerely yours,
