McFall and William Maiiliard on eir recent trip to China. I said I did
not think we had any problems but we would be back in touch.
22. (Unclassified - LLM) Called Barbar artin in the office of
Senate Vance Hartke, on the case of an applicant, on whom we
had received a letter from the Senator and said the recruiter would contact
on Tuesday, 24 July. Martin will advise II by phone and we will
return the Senator's letter. No further action is necessary.
23. (Unclassified - LLM) In follow up to my conversation on 17 July
with John Lawton, Congressional Liaison, f :9vi1 ~ror ice Commission
representative of the Commission's Pay and Administration Office ccaa ed
concerning the Fair Labor Standards Act amendments and advised that while
the House passed bill has no significant impact on Federal employees, the
Senate version does represent a problem and that it is quite possible that if
it prevails that might be a possible cause for veto.

Senate Armed Services Committee, Volume III of "Documentation Provided
by CIA. " Woolsey was quite harassed and did not have an opportunity to
review the material and it was agreed that we would get together later to
review the sensitive supplementary material which we wish to handle on a
briefing basis only.
