Approved For Release 2001/09/07 : CIA-RDP75B0038OR000500130007-0 EXCERPT FROM JOURNAL OFFICE OF LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL 15 MAR 1913 8. (Internal Use Only - LLM) Called Ted Kazy, House Post Office and Civil. Service Committee staff, to get a rundown on the prospects of H. R. 4928 which would seek to boost executive pay and congressional and judicial salaries earlier than the scheduled date of January 1974 by requiring the President to submit the underlying report to Congress not later than 15 July 1973. The proposal, which has the support of the three top ranking Democrats on the Committee, is an effort to retain the comparability concept and recognizes the political difficulty in voting pay increases in 1974, a congressional election year.
