(Unclassified - PLC) Called Bill Skidmore, OMB, and reviewed with .him the Committee deadlines for our reports on S. 1726, S. 2451, S. 3393, S. 3399, and H. R. 12004, which establish a programssification in Government. Skidmore assured me that he was under the same deadlines and our reports should be cleared in sufficient time. 9. (Internal Use Only - KKH) Received a call from Pat Donat, in the office of Senator Charles H. Percy (R., Ill.), requesting the telephone exten- 25X1A sion of I called to see if there was any reason 25X1A her number should not be given out and when there wasn't, called Ms. Donat back and provided her with the information. 10. (Confidential - JGO) Met with Dorothy Fosdick, Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, Senate Government Operations Committee staff, and delivered to her two copies of the classified paper, "Party Secretary Ponomarev Leads Soviet Delegation to U. S. " and unclassified biographies of the Soviet parlamentarian delegation. 11. (Confidential - JGO) Met with Ralph Preston, House Appropriations Committee staff, and delivered Preston remembered the program and had no comments or questions. I gave him also an outline of North and South Korean forces for Representative William E. Minshall (R. , Ohio). This is in response to the Representative's question during the Director's briefing for Agency assessment of the consequences of a withdrawal of U. S. troops from South Korea. 12. (Confidential - JGO) In the absence of Frank Slatinshek, Chief Counsel., House Armed Services Committee, for the day, I left a copy of the paper, "Party Secretary Ponomarev Leads Soviet Delegation to U. S. " and the unclassified paper, "Freedom of Religion in North and South Vietnam," which he had requested. I also left a copy of the letter of 3 May 1974 from Representative Les Aspin (D. , Wis. ) to the Director for his review.
