Met briefly with Ed Braswell, Senate Armed Services Committee staff, and told him that we had been asked to have Mr. Duckett, DDS&T, brief Chairman Frank E. Moss (D., Utah) and Senator Barry Goldwater (R. , Ariz. ) (ranking minority member) of the Senate Aeronautical and Space Sciences Committee on classified satellite photography programs. I told Braswell I thought Moss and Goldwater had a legitimate interest in such a briefing, which would be by Carl Duckett, and Braswell agreed. I told him that the Committee would be considering legislation pertaining to NASA and ERTS programs and it had been felt that Moss and Goldwater would profit from a briefing on our programs. I took this opportunity to remind Braswell again that we are most anxious to talk with him about the civil uses of our satellite photography and he agreed to do this as soon as possible after the completion of the conference on theT f it Procurement bill. 7 q' Approved For Release 2006/02/07 : CIA-RDP75B00380R000700030018-7 Approved For Release 2006/02/07 : CIA-RDP75B00380R000700030018-7 Journal - Office of Legislative CounseL Tuesday - 9 July 1974 Page 3 9. 1 Met with Berniece Kalinowski, Personal Secretary to Frank Slatinshek, Chief Counsel, House Armed Services Committee, and completed the necessary documentation on compartmented 25X1 access clearances. 12.
