As for the possible visit to NPIC, Preston indicated that he does not see any possibility of a visit by Chairman George H. Mahon but that he may well be able to schedule a visit for Representative William E. Minshall (R. , Ohio) and himself in about two weeks. I told him I would remind him. Preston noted in passing that he had briefed the Chairman on Senator John L. McClellan's (D. , Ark. ) statement in the "Congressional Record" concerning SPna+r? zar.11",.. Phillips, Staff Director, Su committee on Foreign Operations and Government Information, House Committee on Government Operations, concerning the transcript of the hearings of Wednesday, 5 June. Phillips said he would not be available to discuss the transcripts before Monday, 17 June, and asked that I gave him a call early in the week of 17 June at which time we will get together.
