Mr. BROWN of Ohio introduced the following bill; which was referred to the
Committee on Post Office and Civil Service
A BILL
To provide educational assistance to children of civilian em-
ployees of the United States killed abroad as a result of
war, insurgency, mob violence, or similar hostile action.
1 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-
2. tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
3 That title 5, United States Code, is amended by adding
4 thereto a new chapter 90, entitled "Orphan's Educational
5 Assistance", as follows:
6 "SECTION 1. 9001. A child of a civilian officer or em-
7 ployee of the United States Government who dies while
8 assigned to service overseas, and whose death results from
s) war, insiargeney, inob v'ioloneo, or similar hostile action
